Details

The basic class pressure transmitter is the workhorse for pressure points that need reliable, configurable measurement without the extended features of a premium instrument. It uses a piezoresistive sensor behind an isolating diaphragm, delivers ±0.075 % of span accuracy and offers 50:1 turndown, so one unit can be re-ranged in the field to cover a wide variety of applications from stock.

Ranges run from −1 to 689 bar gauge and 0 to 689 bar absolute, with a static pressure limit of 1,034 bar. Output is 4–20 mA with HART for configuration and diagnostics, or 1–5 VDC low-power HART for solar- and battery-powered installations. Process temperature is −40 to +121 °C at the direct-mount threaded connection; higher temperatures are handled with remote diaphragm seals.

Wetted parts are 316L stainless steel or Alloy C-276 for corrosive media. Options include an LCD display, manifolds, diaphragm seals, mounting brackets, special coatings and hazardous-area approvals.

Choose this class for utilities, tank pressure, pump discharge, compressor monitoring and similar duties in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, refining, power, marine and water plants. Where differential pressure, fieldbus communication or tighter accuracy is required, step up to the middle or advanced class transmitters.
