Skin Temeprature

Skin temperature

Skin temperature is the temperature of the outermost layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. It is the temperature that can be felt by touching the skin and is affected by several factors, including environmental conditions, physical activity, and medical conditions.

Skin temperature is typically lower than internal body temperature, which is around 37°C or 98.6°F. The skin temperature can vary depending on the location on the body, with areas such as the fingertips and toes being cooler than areas like the forehead and armpits.

Measuring skin temperature is commonly used in medical settings to diagnose and monitor medical conditions such as hypothermia and fever. Skin temperature can also be an indicator of blood flow and circulation, as well as the effectiveness of medical treatments such as physiotherapy and massage.

At Metron MENA, we offer a range of high-quality temperature measurement devices, including non-contact infrared thermometers, designed to accurately measure skin temperature. Our devices are easy to use, reliable, and provide quick temperature readings, making them ideal for medical settings and other applications where accurate temperature measurement is essential.
