A turbine flowmeter is one the most accurate flowmeters used in different industries. The turbine works based on a propeller installed on a shaft with dry or lubricated bearings. It is used for liquid and gas but in case of use in gas pipelines needs to have periodical lubrication. It is equipped with magnetic pick-up on the edge of propellers and a sensitive receiver can count the pulses received from the pick-up, each round assigned to a specified volume; by using more than one propeller set, we can achieve better accuracy. This type of flowmeter is used with a perforated plate and a strainer because fluid cleanliness is very important because of mechanical moving parts.
